A Christmas Letter

Dear Readers,

This season was not about spending your check on a gift for your family and friends in hopes of something in return. This season was not about complaining about how terrible 2017 has been for you. This season was not about holding onto grudges, attitudes, and thoughts just for kicks and giggles.

Today is Christmas. And it's not about Santa, Rudolph, or chestnuts roasting.

Hopefully and prayerfully we remember that this day has no meaning whatsoever without the birth of Jesus Christ.

My good pal Linus read his Peanuts gang for filth over 50 years ago when he recited Luke 2:8-14 during their Christmas play rehearsal. And it still holds true for us, to this day.

Today we recognize that that baby, came to us as God's greatest gift. Securing the bag before we even knew we needed Him to secure it for us. (Y'all think about it... a baby secured the bag)

So when you find yourself doing whatever it is you do today -- take time to remember (and/or shout, pray, praise), the priceless gift God gave us, out of nothing BUT unconditional love for His creation: Jesus.

Merry Christmas,

Imani B.
